The Real Miss America. This 19 year old ex-cheerleader (now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper) was watching a road that led to a NATO military base when she observed a man digging by the road. She engaged the target (I.e. she shot him). It turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated when a US patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers. The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards. She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot went through his butt and into the bomb which detonated; he was blown to pieces. The Air Force made a motivational poster of her: If You Can Not Stand Behind / Support Our Troops, Please Feel Free To Stand In Front Of Them! If you agree with this, share it! If not, why then, just move on. Ain't freedom a grand thang!!!!!? |

Mchugh Strengthens Arlington National Cemetery Management, Oversight
Mchugh Strengthens Arlington National Cemetery Management, Oversight
FORMER SENATORS DOLE, CLELAND WILL LEAD INDEPENDENT PANELSecretary of the Army John McHugh today announced sweeping changes in the management and oversight of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) following completion of a months-long probe by the Army's Inspector General.
"While the Inspector General's (IG) team found that ANC employees – under an extraordinarily high operational tempo of 27 to 30 funerals a day – performed their jobs with dedication and to a high professional standard, they also found them hampered by dysfunctional management, the lack of established policy and procedures, and an overall unhealthy organizational climate," McHugh said. "That ends today."
McHugh ordered the investigation following allegations of lost accountability of some graves and poor record keeping, among other issues. The Army released its investigation findings at a Pentagon news conference today. The investigation followed an earlier inspection and management review ordered by McHugh's predecessor, former Army Secretary Pete Geren, which McHugh expanded shortly after taking office. Those findings were also released today.
"Both reports pointed to the lack of established policies and procedures, a failure to automate records, and long-term systemic problems," he said.
As part of a series of corrective measures, McHugh established the newly-created position of Executive Director (ED) of the Army National Cemeteries Program, whose duties will include oversight of cemetery management, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and implementing corrective measures outlined in the investigation and inspection reports. McHugh appointed Kathryn Condon to serve as ED. Condon previously served as the senior civilian for Army Materiel Command - overseeing one of the largest commands in the Army, with more than 60,000 employees in 149 locations worldwide.
Among a host of other changes and initiatives, McHugh is establishing an Army National Cemeteries Advisory Commission, which will include officials from outside the Army to regularly review policies and procedures, and provide additional guidance and support. McHugh has enlisted the services of former senators and Army veterans Max Cleland and Bob Dole to begin that effort.
Dole represented Kansas in the Senate for three decades, and in 2007 co-chaired a commission investigating deficiencies at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. In addition to serving as senator from Georgia, Cleland is a former head of the Department of Veterans Affairs and currently serves as secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission, which oversees American burial grounds in foreign countries, including the American cemetery and memorial in Normandy, France. Both are decorated Army veterans.
ANC Superintendent John Metzler Jr., will remain in his post supporting funerals and ceremonial activities until July 2 - when he retires from federal service. However, Metzler will now report directly to the new executive director, and has received a letter of reprimand from McHugh based on the IG's findings.
At McHugh's request, Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki is providing a detailee while the Army conducts a nationwide search for a new superintendent.
Patrick K. Hallinan, director of the Office of Field Programs for the VA, who is responsible for the development and implementation of National Cemetery Policy, will be temporarily reassigned to ANC as its superintendent. Hallinan has more than 31 years of cemetery service, and currently has oversight responsibilities for 130 national cemeteries.
The cemetery's deputy superintendent was placed on administrative leave pending a disciplinary review in the wake of the findings.
"Arlington National Cemetery is the place where valor rests, a place of reverence and respect for all Americans," McHugh said. "The Army recognizes its sacred responsibility to ensure America's confidence in the operation of its most hallowed ground, and to the heroes for whom this is their final resting place. I believe these changes will do just that."
In addition to Arlington National Cemetery, the Army National Cemeteries Program includes the Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery in Washington, DC.
The IG's report and other documents are located on the Web at http://www.army.mil/arlington.

I am posting this information so everyone can witness for themselves what Arizona is dealing with . If we all pass it along, maybe the message will get across to people in other parts of the country. The first part of their journey starts here, but believe me they are heading out of here fast .... coming soon to a town near you!

Obama administration extremely dangerous to our Constitution, Bill of Rights and overall Republican Democracy
This is how dangerous this administration is to our Constitution, Bill of Rights and overall Republican Democracy!!
You may recall sometime back I published a list of the Obama Czars, which are a unelected and unwanted shadow government attempting to control most governmental functions from the Executive Branch of Government, bypassing the legislative process if they do not like or condone what our elected Representatives and Senators have agreed upon as Law,..
RE: the recent EPA regulatory determination is an example declaring Carbon Dioxide [CO2] which plants need to live, a greenhouse gas.. when this is not the major problem as far as air pollution goes!! this is just a cover to be able to foist a form of 'cap & tax' on us!!
NOW, take time to read what Cass Sunstein, Van Jones and others are verbalizing we should do concerning our form of government...
I believe this is just the tip of the Titanic Iceberg!!
If this does not infuriate you, I do not know what will,, any real American should be completely up in arms over these positions which fly in the face of all we have struggled to maintain and preserve for the future generations to come..

John Timothy Griffin - US Congressional Candidate - AR Dist. 2 - the Good, Bad, UGLY and LIES
The long and short of it - I AM a loyal, 4th generation Arkansawyer, I have strong conservative values, based in Christian morals and ethics nurtured of this country, so much so that I can not stand a manipulative liar, Tim Griffin in this case is such a person.
I have a deep understanding Arkansas politics and the Arkansas people because of family roots, deeply embedded in Arkansas soil,.... niece of the Late Senator John L. McClellan
I despise those who USE their military service as a ' notch ' on their resume because I am a veteran and former Military wife, I despise those who use good 'salt of the earth' ppl for personal gain,.. I have many reasons for which I am more than happy to supply you, the people of Arkansas, with what I had found about John Tim Griffin, ..
It is my sincere hope that you, the voters of Arkansas, upon reading this information, will utilize this information to the maximum ... Hopefully, running this Washington Inside 'Carpetbagger' out of town on a rail ..
denying him his most sought after feather in his cap.. a seat in the US House of Representatives
Arkansas does not need him to be a representative.. I believe him to be a Carpetbagger, sent to us for one reason only, to become a Congressional Representative for Arkansas just like many of these outsiders did after the Civil War during Re-Construction,
WE are not illiterate nor lacking in intelligence, we may be in some cases lacking in formal education but that can not offset the common sense exercised by most people of Arkansas,..
Think about this saying by our older generations, "where there's smoke there's fire" meaning when a person denies a wrong doing to strongly, it usually will be an indication of just how guilty the person is..
His [Tim Griffin] repetitive denial of the actions and these articles which strongly pointed to the facts of his being up to his elbows in these shenanigans hook, line and sinker!!
Strangely enough he claims his campaign funds have come from within Arkansas but according to his FEC filings of which I hold copies downloaded from the FEC WEBSITE, a goodly portion of his funds have been garnered from the two special fundraising events hosted be Washington insiders, on being held in Little Rock in December, one in Washington, DC in Jan. and the other in February in Little Rock by Rep. John Boehner, GOP Minority Leader, Rep. Jim DeMint, and Rep. Pete Sessions, the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Caucus, from PAC"S and big money donors mostly from without the 2nd District State of Arkansas, Murphy Oil and their executives, Wal-mart & Executives, Arvest, big oil companies in Texas and so on,.. giving not just for the primary but for the general election as well, assuming he would automatically win the primary!!

ObamaCare’s War on White Castle Jobs
ObamaCare’s War on White Castle Jobs
Posted by Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) on May 10th, 2010
American jobs are under attack by the massive health care overhaul that was rammed through Congress by President Obama over the objections of the American people. The latest evidence of the new law’s job-crushing nature comes from White Castle, the Columbus, Ohio-based restaurant chain that employs thousands of Americans nationwide.
An analysis conducted by White Castle officials and submitted to my office this week indicates that one provision of ObamaCare alone will effectively cut White Castle's net income in half and chop future job creation by at least that much. The analysis also illustrates how the law's job-crushing impact will be most severe in lower-income areas, where jobs such as those provided by employers like White Castle are needed most. The White Castle analysis comes days after the U.S. Department of Labor announced that the national unemployment rate last month rose to 9.9%, meaning at least one out of every 10 Americans is now out of work.
White Castle official Jamie Richardson explains:
As Richardson's analysis shows, White Castle’s ability to provide new jobs and benefits to Americans attempting to re-enter the workforce will be significantly impaired by ObamaCare’s harsh requirements for private sector job-creators. And the problem is hardly confined to White Castle. In a May 6 column, economist Diana Furchtgott-Roth, a senior fellow and director of the Hudson Institute's Center for Employment Policy and former chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor, warned that many American employers will encounter this senseless obstacle to job creation as a result of ObamaCare:
At least one in every 10 Americans is out of work. Any politician who believes such a statistic is cause for celebration isn't listening to the American people. President Obama's job-killing health care law should be repealed and replaced with common-sense reforms that will lower health care costs for American workers and encourage private sector job creation, not discourage it.

The White Castle analysis comes days after the U.S. Department of Labor announced that the national unemployment rate last month rose to 9.9%, meaning at least one out of every 10 Americans is now out of work.
White Castle official Jamie Richardson explains:
“We’ve been working on this internally from a number of different perspectives. One that has [us] the most concerned is the $3,000 penalty that kicks in when an employee’s portion of a premium exceeds 9.5% of Household Income.
“We wanted to start to estimate what our potential liability will be after 2014 with regard to the 9.5% of Household Income provision, assuming all things being equal to where we are today. To do this, we pulled Household Income data for all 421 of our Castle trading areas, and used this to approximate the Household Income of team member households. (Most often our employees are reflective of the neighborhoods where we do business.) We then applied weighted averages to the different plans to determine approximately how many team members would have their premium amount exceed 9.5% of household income.
“In present form, this provision alone would lead to approximate increased costs equal to over 55% of what we earn annually in net income (based on past 4-year average). Effectively cutting our net income in half would have [a] devastating impact on the business – cutting future expansion and more job creation at least in half. Sadly, it makes it difficult to justify growing where jobs are needed most – in lower income areas.”
"Even those employers who do offer health insurance could be penalized, according to a study published last month by Mercer, a global consulting firm. Under the new law, health insurance premiums charged by employers to employees must not exceed 9.5% of their household income. As many as 38% of employers may be at risk of violating the unaffordable coverage provision, the study concluded. . .
"The irony is that in the name of expanding health care coverage the administration is making it harder than ever for unskilled workers to get started in the workforce. Clearly, the new health care bill enacted in March will have negative effects on the employment of low-skill workers.
"No employer, whether Wall Street or Walmart, should be required to offer health insurance to workers, just as they are not required to offer auto and home insurance - or is that next? But the employers of low-skill part-time workers in the restaurant and retail sectors will see the most distortions due to the new mandate.
"With 15 million Americans out of work, and millions more discouraged job seekers withdrawn from the labor force, Congress and the administration should focus on getting people back to work. Instead, with the health care bill, Washington is condemning more unskilled Americans to the ranks of the unemployed."

Jim Holt Has a Habit of Defying Polls
Jim Holt Has a Habit of Defying Polls
The story of my first campaign and the polls.
Be careful about putting stock in polls. They often guide in ways they shouldn't’t. We all tend to get excited when our person is in the lead as we have with two polls that have come out since Jim Holt entered the race for Senate. (Mason Dixon poll 1/20/2010, Jim Holt leading Lincoln by bigger margin than any others; Rasmussen poll 3/30/2010, Jim Holt leading Lincoln by bigger margin than any others.) We all tend to get despondent when our person is not in the lead. (We’ve not had one this election until today.) It’s just human nature, but be cautious about it.
Jim Holt has a habit of defying polls. For that matter, Arkansans have a habit of defying polls. Doesn’t anyone remember how shocked the pollsters were when Mike Huckabee began winning states in the primaries where the polls had showed quite another story.
But it seems not too many remember the election of 2004. It was my first time to really get involved with a campaign. I would get so excited at any good news. But then August 22, the first poll! I was so excited to see my first poll on the race into which I’d poured my soul. What an emotional dive! Lincoln was leading Holt. Lincoln 58%; Holt 34%. (All this can still be seen at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/Presidential_04/ar_polls.html )
I’m a positive person. After the dive, I thought, "Well we’ve got our work cut out for us, but we’ve still got over two months to turn this around."
September 29th. Another new poll. We were gaining the ground, I thought we were! Lincoln 54%, Holt 40%. It was still tough, but we had actually gained a great deal of ground as polls go.
I was so excited to see the next poll. October 6. Lincoln 60%, Holt 32%. Oh no! But, on the other hand, there is a more reputable poll coming out October 11. We’ll wait for it.
I was devastated. October 11. Lincoln 60%, Holt 32%. The other poll was right. We’ve not only dropped 8% points last week, but we are 2% lower than where we were in August.
I determined to work harder than ever, as if the whole thing was up to me. I knew it wasn’t, but I wanted so much to help put someone in office that reflected my views, especially on the pro-life, pro-marriage issues.
We were getting weekly polls now. October 18. Lincoln 57%, Holt 38%. Great, we’re at least moving the right direction again. Is there any way we can get above the 50% mark. The pundits were saying it was time to give up. I don’t do that.
October 25, one week before the election. Surely we’ve made some more ground. Lincoln 57%, Holt 38%. The same as a week ago. No way in one week to turn this around, but I will continue to try.
38%! Election day. We didn’t win. I was discouraged, but when I saw 44+% of the vote, I was amazed. Up 6 percentage points in one week?
I learned much.
I will look at polls, but I will not be controlled by them.
When it comes to Jim Holt, the polls will not be accurate.
I will not give up.
I cannot do everything that even I want to do, but I will work hard until the last moment.
No other candidate is able to bring together the TEA party movement, those opposed to illegal immigration, those who support limited government, those who want us to live by our Constitution, those who are pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, and pro-marriage like Jim Holt can. No other candidate has withstood the pressures of lobbyists and party politics without giving in like Jim Holt. His record is evidence of what we’ll get.
Why would we choose anyone else? Jim Holt for U.S. Senate!
To this task. We can see victory. We must pray. We must trust. We must work

LTC Terry Lakin and his Attorney Paul Jensen on AC360
Take note of how adversarial CNN's Cooper is being toward these ppl, also Cooper is not very conversant on the legal documents or processes mentioned or needed or what is issued when you request a birth certificate from the State's vital records department..
also many non "natural born" individuals have given service in our military,..
a birth announcement in the paper DOES NOT CONSTITUTE validation..
CNN's position is typical of the Main Stream Media who are doing everything they can to 'whitewash' this issue,.. every case which has been brought as a challenge against Obama's birth right and eligibiliaty to hold the office of President has been thrown out or dismissed BEFORE any phase of DISCOVERY!!
There is so much smoke, with 2 million in legal fees, much of it taxpayer money, that has been spent on KEEPING ANY AND ALL PERTINENT DOCUMENTS SEALED!!, so much so that the old saying applies,
'Where there's smoke, there's fire!'
There has to be some basis of truth in the allegations for such extreme actions to be needed and those that are taking place..
Lt Col Lakin IS NOT the first military member to make this challenge, just the highest member to do so to date!!
